the 1980 s, the Ministry of Railways began to promote the use of weather-resistant steel in vehicles. Weather-resistant steel has the characteristics of high-quality steel, such as toughness, plastic extension, forming, welding and cutting, abrasion, high temperature, fatigue resistance, etc. Weather resistance is 2 to 8 times that of plain carbon steel, and coating resistance is 1.5 to 10 times that of plain carbon steel. At the same time, it has the characteristics of rust resistance, corrosion resistance and life extension of components, thinning and consumption reduction, labor saving and energy saving.
September 1985, Qiqihar Factory completed the design of C62B gondola car. Trial production and small batch production were carried out in 1986.
After 1987, Zhuzhou Vehicle Factory, Meishan Vehicle Factory, Xi'an Vehicle Factory, Harbin Vehicle Factory and Shenyang Vehicle Factory began to join mass production.
C62B gondola cars are mainly used for loading coal, ore, steel, wood, machinery and equipment, containers and other goods on the railway.
C62B gondola car is a 60t all-steel general-purpose gondola car. On the basis of the C62A general-purpose gondola car, the original carbon steel car body is replaced with low-alloy weather-resistant steel. The main structure is the same as that of C62A. The main plate of the whole car is 09CuPTiRE weathering steel produced by WISCO, and the rest is 08CuPVxt weathering steel produced by Angang.
C62B car body is of all-steel electric welding structure. The car body consists of a chassis, end walls, side walls and doors. The vehicle has a dead weight of 22.3t, a load of 60t and a volume of 71.6 cubic meters. Zhuan 8A bogie is adopted, and the construction speed is 100 km/h.
After some C62B gondola cars were replaced with K2 bogies, the model was changed to C62BK. Speed 120 km/h.
China imported all-steel trucks from the Soviet Union from 1988 to 1990, including P63 boxcars and C62A(N) gondola cars, 3750 each.
1987, the Soviet side produced a sample car, and delivery began in the first quarter of 1988.
C62A(N) gondola model is 12-759, which is marked as C62A(N) after import. The car is produced by the Soviet Union's Kryukov Vehicle Factory and is designed in accordance with the requirements of China's C62A(N) upgraded and replaced with a new 4D axle gondola car. Its main size and structural performance are similar to those of China's C62A(N).
